Hampster bedding....?

Do you have to have hampster bedding, or can u just have a flat floor as long as they have cardboard to chew up and hide under, etc. etc.

It's not like the hamster would die without the bedding but i would try to make it as comfortable you can for them... at least put paper towels in there for them to chew up and get comfy

are you breeding them? or just pets?
while they won't die from no bedding.

It would be lots more comfortable for them. Plus they have to be able to nest so the can keep warm/cool.

You wouldn't die if you had to sleep on just the floor with a stiff ply board to hide under, but I'm sure you would want to be more comfortable.
