My cousin just got him a week ago, while visiting friends in PA, from a breeder. He's a beautiful, sweet gerbil. Unfortunately, her daughter is allergic to him, bigtime. Since asthma runs in her family, the doctor said she shouldn't have any pets in the house, so he needs a LOVING home soon...and hopefully, a buddy as well :) We're in Brooklyn, but can travel. Anyone that's interested, please let me know!! I told her we should give this site a try, because it seems really cool, you all seem great and I've learned alot from reading the posts. Hopefully, we can find him a great home :) Hope to hear from you....

You should have good luck finding a good home. Burmese gerbils are really popular!

You have to host the pictures somewhere and link the picture into your comment. Its pretty easy. Just go to photobucket.com and load your pictures onto there. They will give you a tag that you copy and paste into your comment, and there ya go, you will have your pictures posted!! :D

I believe Zouave is from Brooklyn... I think he mainly rescues animal, but perhaps he'd be interested. Like Cornflakes said, Burmese is a very popular gerbil color. I have one. She's absolutely beautiful. If my situation were different, and she was younger, I would've loved to have bred her..... But I'm just as happy with no babies.

Anyway, good luck finding him a home! Hopefully someone on here can take him in. There are a lot of gerbil lovers that come here.

aww he's beautiful!! I know of someone looking for a burmese gerbil (she was actually hoping for a female, but either gender she would be excited to have) on Long Island. She has a male at home and was hoping to start a line in NYC since it's such a rare color their. I'm not sure if you want him to go to a pet-only home or not though...

Wow, Callimico, that's fantastic. Can you ask her if she'd like him. Also, where on Long Island is she? Thanks!!!!

I just emailed her to see if she's interested. If she says yes, is their any contact info I can give her to get ahold of you? I know you might not want to give out your email on a public forum....or you might be alright with it, whatever you thinks best

Hi Callimico, Yes, I never thought about giving my email address on a public board, lol. Anyway, my cousins neighbor is gerbil sitting until she finds a home for him. She's kinda hoping that she will fall in love with him and keep him, so her daughter can still see him, but we'll see. If your friend is interested, I'll let my cousin know and maybe I can give you her email.
