Leave some food out for him on the floor and maybe you will see him come out to eat. Also, try to leave him some moist food, such as an apple slice because he doesn't have any water, either. Good Luck!!

Keep hoping. i went on a trip. and when i came home one of my teddy bear hamsters were gone. i couldn't find her anywhere i checked the cage to see if there was a hole of somewhere she could have gotten out of. no:fangel: i didn't know how long she had been out. but i put some food out and she came after a few hours.:angel5:

well......keep hoping!! have you heard sqeaking or rustling noise? if you have !! Quickly get ur broom and make lot's of noise!!! and then if ur hamster can smell good, get his/her fav. food and let it smell it or somethign and it;'ll come out eventually, not?

My hammy got stuck on the wire and he couldnt get out, n i would hear him sqeaking and everything !! So we called the people who owns our house, and they got the cabinet out and i saw my hammy and he was soooooooooooo patetic!!!!! so when you DO find him or her, give LOT"S OF WATER!!! my hamster only was lost for4 hours and he drank ALOT!!!and give lot's of food!!
HOPE YOU FIND UR HAMSTER!!!!!
XOXOXO:D

Dwarf hamsters can last 7 days at most without water..food they can last a long time without. If u dont find her in 7 days and get water into her, most likely she will pass away, i really hope u find her! Ill pray for u and your hammie!

try putting a few of their tunnels around for em.. put a little bedding from their cage and some bits of food in it to attract them.. smells familar and safe and they might go to it.. that's what we do when our mice get loose...

I know this is an old thread, but please help since this thread title seems to be the most accurate. How long CAN dwarf hamsters survive without food? There were 2 replies, one said 4-5 days, one said a long time (over 7 days), which one is correct? and can anyone point me to sources that would give me the answer? My dwarf Wheat died last night, he got food the night before and ate it all, but before that he may have been without food for a few days, I didn't find any food in his cage. Please help. And does anyone know if they can die from starvation even if it ate again before it died? He was quite old too, 2 years old, so it might have been natural old age. Thanks!
