plus chinese hammys are mouse like in appearance and have the biggest butt of all hammts if male and they are illegal in calafornia and like all hammsters same in hawii

black bears are said to be different because the first breeders who got black hamsters bred for size and kindness

roborvski hamsters are the smallest and fastest hamsters so far found. if bred their pregnancy is alot longer and are weaned a week later then the other breeds

there are 2 types of russian dwarf which should NEVER be bred together the first is cambels: furry footed and have rounder heads. they are more friendly to one another.

winter whites: go white when winter, narrow heads but rounder bodys have not got furry feet

While there are four types of dwarf hamsters:
Campbells, robos,winter white, chinese

There is only one kind of Russian Campbells dwarf... aka Campbells dwarf hamster, aka Dwarf Campbell Russian hamster, aka Campbell Dwarf Russian hamster, aka Hairy Footed hamster, aka Russian Campbells... within that there are several different types of coat colors

While winter white is a true siberian dwarf..

in fact, there shouldnt be any cross breeding done among the different breeds/types/kinds/whatever u call it... of hamsters

Also "Panda" is just a Black Banded Syrian.

Chinese should also be kept on there own.

I have 3 Chinese and a member of 3 hamster clubs with some members breeding them. More and more people are saying the same thing - keep them seperate and treat them as Syrians.

Some people didn't believe me so when i wanted some more I got 2 males (brothers) and kept them in a 20 gallon aquarium (pleanty of space for 9 Campbells)

Well after 2 months I had to seperate them or Pinky would of killed his bro.
