Using Msg. Icons?

How do I use the message icons? I will need complete instructions. Thanks

When you originate a post or when you reply to a post, there's a set of 14 different icons just above the area where you type your message. Just simply click on the one you want. http://petshub.com/ubb/cool.gif

During the time you are creating your message, you will notice on the left in blue lettering HTML is ON, UBB Code is ON, and Smilies Legend. I made that little guy with the sunglasses in my last post by clicking on the Smilies Legend. Also, click on FAQ and it has a bunch of stuff that's good, too.

I clicked on the 4th one from the left on the top. We'll see if it works.

It didn't work! This time I checked the 6th one from the left, bottom row.

Check below the area that you type your message. There are two check boxes. Unless you wan't smilies disabled, there should be no check. Unless you have a signature of some kind that you want other people to see, there should be no check. Other than that, a plea to the moderator or web-person might be in order for an explanation. It may have something to do with the browser.

Neither of the boxes in "options" is checked, and there is an "*" by "HTML is ON" and "UBB Code is ON." I will try again in this post, using the 3rd from the right, bottom line. And will the "icon" show in my post immediately? How do I contact the moderator? Thanks for your assistance.

Hello,

Since you have the "HTML ON" and the "UBB Code ON", and also there are "No Checks", you are on the correct track then.

Did you click on the round button beside your choosen message icon, rather than clicking on the picture icon?

Try clicking on the round button beside the icon.

Make sure that there is a little black dot beside the message icon which you have choosen.

Yes, the icon shows immediately once you post.

Well, golly me, I did not see those little dots next to the icons, but they still don't seem to be working for me. Are they perhaps for PC users and not for Macs?
I am on a Performa 6400/200 using OS9
DARN! I have tried each and every one of them.

And by the way, they are not black dots, they are circles. When I click in them they become somewhat of a black dot inside the circle.
