At 1:15 AM this morning, we received a phone call from a neighbor telling us that the electricity had gone off. It was 5 degrees above zero outside. I got out of bed and snatched Halo, our toy poodle and put her in bed with us, she immediately crawled under the covers and didn't move until we got up about an hour later to start the fireplace. Thank goodness for it. We pulled two chairs up in front of it, and remained there until the power came back on. The temp in the house got down to 65 degrees, and I had Halo wrapped in her blanket on my lap the whole time. She loved it, but we are soooo tired now, I think we will need naps later this PM.
