Hi,

My name is Lisa, and I have 7 horses that I would like to introduce, and tell ya'll about!

Here goes: Las Veges Red, Arabian Stallion, Bay, with star and no other markings. He is a wonderful stud, with the aditude to do and disipline, and is always willing to please. He is green broke( I broke him, of course!), and is doing quite well! He is up for stud at $250.

El Errianne: Arabian broodmare, bay, with 3 white stockings, and a faint star. She in also green broke, and wil be started over fences soon. She is bred to my Arab stud, due to foal in April. Fingers crssed for a filly!

That's all I can tell you about right now, as I have to go out and give the horses thier breakfst!

Hope to have replies, Lisa:D :daisy:

Hello Lisa

I have had Arabs for over 30 years ( you probably guessed that from the other posts)

My gelding has some great breeding.

He is triple Fadjur. Very old breeding . THe foundation mare for TB is only 10 generations back.

Hence he is 16.2 barefoot and no heel!

He is just beautiful. Never beaten at halter and when he was right not beaten under saddle either. BUt he HATED being shown and hated other people riding him more. SO he is a momma boy now. I trail ride him and use him to teach balance and
a few other things. He is the most perfect mover with a float to die for!

My mare is 32 and does everything! She is my pride and joy with attitude to spare. Thinks she's a stud. Rules the roost here that's for sure. SHe is often used to work with handicap-ped adults and children and is perfect to teach on as she gets harder to rider the better you get.

I recently rescued a very sweet and lovely TB. 17.2 hh. We like him and love his sweetness but my arabs are just smarter!!!!

I think we have proven our point by now.... don't think anyone will diss arabs with us around LOL

I have an Arabian gelding. He is a dark bay with a black mane and tail and 4 black stockings. He is 6 years old and his name is Alladin.

I also have a Paint gelding. He is chocolate and white with a white mane and a chocolate and white tail. He is 13 years old and his name is Omar the Sharif.

I also have a Quarab mare. She is a light bay with a black mane and tail. She is 3 years old and her name is The Shawnee Princess.

And last I have a Mustang Stallion. He is a dun with a dorsal stripe and a black mane and tail with 4 black stockings. He is a yearling almost 2 and his name is Comanche.

Hope to hear from you soon!!

Hey Lisa,
Your horses sound really cool too! How many do you have? I have alot of fun with mine. But one thing is I am having some trouble breaking my BLM mustang to lead. He came off the range so before I got him he had, had no experience with humans. He's not mean and he is really sweet and follows me everywhere. I guess he just doesn't like the feel of the halter "pulling" on his nose.
Do you have AIM/AOL instant messanger? If you do I would love to talk to you and here more about your horses. Or just talk about horses.
Hope to here from you soon!!

Lisa --
when you say you are going to get a foal by your appy mare you DON"T mean by your arab stallion do you?

You can't register it as the appy/arab cross was banned a while back.

So you can't get arab or app papers. Why do it?

Just wondering if you knew.....

Hi,

Yea, I mean by my arab stallion. As far as I know, that cross wasn't banned. That's actually what the app mare is.I don't really care if it's registered or not. I am not really into al that. I am just interested in breeding nice, arab type riding horses for jumping, endurance and dressage. The arab/app cross. And Haley, I'm looking forword to those pics. and the e-mail! Thanks, Lisa:angel6:

That cross has been banned for years.

Some reasons are because it is a great way to ruin two nice breeds.

Although I doubt there are any "real" apps left ( there were only 12 20 years ago) it still is forbidden.

I'm not sure what you think you are going to get with that cross -- I have seen a really nice park horse that was appy/arab ( got in right under the wire) but that is about it. SInce each breed is looking for pretty much the opposite of the other I am curious as to why you would want to breed them.

As an arab owner and breeder I would think the point of breeding is to improve the breed and as a partbred owner and breeder I always looked for the best of both breeds.

Too breed just 'cause you can is not responsible.

Hi,

I don't like being mean to people, but you are incorrect. That cross is NOT BANNED. If it has been banned, then why is the app mare the Arab/App cross? She is only 7-years-old. There is no way that the cross is banned. Now I will go back to my usual self and be nice.
Thanks, Lisa

Does she have papers?

They banned the cross in 83. They may have lifted since 90 but not before.
However if this horse has no papers or one of the parents is listed as unknown then it is still banned.

But as I said App is just a color now. Used to be a real breed but none of the pure apps are still alive.
So it is now just like pinto, paint, palomino, guella, ect.....

Only a color. Too bad 'cause the real things where great horses.

If you don't mind me asking, why are some breeds banned? I mean what's wrong with them? I was just wondering.

The arab/appy cross isn't banned. I don't know why she said that, but she is not right. Oh, and e-mail me when you get the chance please!

The app mare is not registered. Her sire and her dam have papers, but we never got around to registering her.
