metal bars..?

if your hamster chews on the metal bars of the cagfe or sumthing do u think the bar will get stuck between the hamsters teeth?.. bcuz my hamster was chewin the bar on her traveling cage thing and it looked lyk her teeth were stcuk or sumthing..??:confused:

bar chewing is like wood chewing appart from that its chewng bars no wood. the teeth probably normally look like that and the bars will not go between there teeth

sometimes my hamster's teeth will grow really long- and then- like overnight- she will grind them down to nearly nothing. she always has wood chews to chew on- why does she wait and whittle them down all at one time like that? and i think it makes them sore because she won't eat her carrot the next day after she's ground them down so far.

Hamster's can't get their teeth stuck on metal bars. Give your hamster lots of wooden chew blocks and cardboard tubes to chew on. Even with with tons of cardboard tubes and wooden things, some hamsters will continue chewing on the bars. Hamsters can develop sore noses from constantly chewing on bars. The only way to permanently stop the bar chewing is to house the hamster in an aquarium. Try a plastic traveling cage instead of the one you are currently using an dput a cardboard tube inside for the hamster to chew on.

belive me you can never stop your hamste from chewing the bars. ive tried. i put Corkey in a palstic cage for a day to see how hed like ti and he wreked veryting. he just loves to chew.

My hamster chews on the bars, no harm done, but some Ding Dong on another site said they could get brain damage, because they chew so hard that their brain detaches from their head. Not true! They are born to chew chew chew chew!!!

Just a small possibility how big is your cage, my Cookie will chew on his travel cage, it's quite a bit smaller than his normal cage, he never chews on his normal cage. A cage that is a little too small may also be the reason your hammie is chewing.

the geese al came back last week. i was looking out the window and i heard honking so i ran outside and started yelling " the geese the geese!" and my ma said she only saw a streak of red( i was wearing red pants and a red sweater) running down the drive way yelling the geese! lol
