My funny dwarf hamster

One of our Chinese dwarf hamsters tries to store food on his wheel. He is so funny. :D He drops the seeds on the wheel, and then starts running "away" on it. It's a solid plastic wheel, so the seeds don't fall through, but travel up until they fall onto his head. So he stops and looks all puzzled: "It's raining seeds!" He picks them all up, runs a bit, then he tries to "store" them again. We can hear the rattle in the next room when the seeds rain down on him. He is very persistant. Ha!!

My previous Syrian hamster (Peanut) used to do that too! He had the wheel that snaps onto the outside of the Crittertrail cages, so it's mostly enclosed. He'd unload food in there, and then start running. Boy, was it loud! I'd have to take the wheel off and clean it out, and then the next day he'd do it all over again. Silly hammies!! :p
