Itchy Hampster! Help!

Hi Everyone....my hampster Sesul has been having some itching problems lately, this morning i took him out of his cage and put him in his ball so he could go site seeing around my room and usually he is unstopable but today he didnt move and inch because he was constently iching himself...i havent changed his bedding or anything...usually he is happy and energetic but now he seems irratated...any help would be greatly appreciated.

What kind of bedding do you use? Hamsters can develop allergies to bedding even if it hasn't been recently changed, particularly with wood chips.
