i had the 3 girls' out playing with them. they're sisters. i noticed how they were different sizes and their fur was different. suzi was the runt of the litter and her fur has always looked weird. the entire litter was albino. the other hamsters look very groomed where her fur looks messy. lately its been looking yellowish. suzi hides a lot and is rather skittish. betty is the biggest and her fur is flawless. jlo is in the middle and her fur looks more like betty's but not as great. i noticed scabs on her lower back. i checked the other ones and they didnt have any scabs at all.
any idea/suggestions? my first thought was that it was fighting wounds. i had a mouse that was a feeder that has these markings on his back. vet suggested that they were fighting wounds since he was caged with many other mice.
im not sure what my immediate actions should be. i have them all apart now in case its contagious/or really is fighting. both vets in my area are closed right now. so i cant even call.
however they arent really good with hamsters anyways :/ a lot of you guys here on the board seem to know more than they do.
so yea.. opinions/advice. please!
