i just read on the mouse forums that carefresh sometimes has mites.. this is news to me. does anyone else know anything about this? i just started using carefresh

I use it for my ferrets and I have never seen mite.... Maybe the store they bought the carefresh from had mites and they got in the bag. We had these little ant one time came in from outside and they bit their way into our cereal.

i have heard from several people that they got mites from their bedding (carefresh)....if you want to use it but are worried, i have heard that freezing or microwaving the bedding will help to kill anything in it...

I have found those little moth things in mine before, and didn't chance it, just tossed the packege right out. Don't need an infestation of those in my home, heard they were near impossible to get rid of!

thats so disgusting. how are they allowed to sell this crap? ugh im glad i kept my receipts. im taking this ish back.

Any bedding could have mites. You just have to check your bedding before butting it into the cage.
