Mine our mixed breeds. Of coarse, Brandy, my wonderful dog is a mixed breed. He is Shep/collie and is so beautiful, of coarse, lol. He has such nice markings, he is smart, kind, gentle and I swear he is half human. lol.
I find the mixed breeds, are very healthy and seem to be so gentle.
Have a good day!

My favourite breed is a mongrel - mixed breed and chihuahua.
I think mongrels are great too. I used to have one mongrel, and she is such a wonderful friend. Mongrels are really intelligent too.
Chihuahua are small but yuppy. But they are cute. And when they pounce, at least we won't fall flat. I am quite worried about that, as my granny lives with me and she is in her 80s, and at least my dog doesn't make her fall when he pounce on her.

I like most any breed of dog, except for the Chow. Can't say I don't like them, I just don't trust them. One of our sons has one, and he is a beautiful dog, but, as a child, I was bitten by one on my rear, so I guess that's the reason. My very favorite is the toy poodle. I have a black tiny toy now, her name is Halo because our last name is Angell, pronounced "Angel." She is very smart, and soooo loving. I just love her to death. She is so funny.

Lola, you were bitten by a chow on your rear? Oh no, that must have hurt. But i think chow have really cute faces. They look so pitiful... http://petshub.com/ubb/smile.gif
I think Halo must be really cute. She must be quite small sized too right? How old is she now?

I suppose this may be a little weird since I have Sheltie/mixes and a Lab/mix and have had a pure bred Dalmatian, but my favorite breed is one I haven't mentioned. I love both the Jack Russell Terriers and the Toy Fox Terrier. They are small, extremely intelligent, shed very little and you can carry them everywhere you go. LOL
Actually, I had the opportunity to dog sit, more or less, with a Toy Fox Terrier for about a month last July. At that time I had my Shelties and my Dalmatian. This little tyke pretty much parked himself on our doorstep on the 1st of July. From the looks of him, he was a well kept dog (possibly even show quality), nails trimmed, coat shiny and groomed, teeth gleaming white. I figured the little guy just got seperated from his owner somewhere. Put out an internet 'lost and found' and also posted notices around the neighborhood...nothing. Not even one response. So after about 3 weeks, I started looking for a home for him. He was so small that we named him "Squirt", but he had a big dog attitude and heart. He was very loving and took direction very well, but he didn't take no guff from the other 3 dogs.
One day, Squirt had all 3 dogs (all much bigger than him) backed up against the living room wall! LOL They were left kind of looking at each other like "Sheesh! What did WE do?!".

Here are my two girls, what rotties do you have? Mine's 5 months, female, and the spunkiest little thing you'll ever see. Her most recent escapade was she got her head stuck in the gate. A month ago she could stick her head in and out without even touching the grills. She doesn't understand she grows. So the poor thing went on her normal "stick the head out and say HELLO!" routine, and WHAMMO! Poor dear.
And you, or anyone else who has black nailed dogs may know, PLEASE help me out on one thing. How in the world do you clip black nails? She has short little nails, smooth and even on top, uniform colour underside. I don't see any differentiating colours AT ALL!

Adel:
To cut the nails, simply just cut the very tip--being that she is so young and there really is not alot of nail growth, you would only "tip" the nail, thus blunting the sharp end. You must be careful. If you look on the back of the nail, you can almost see the fleshy, sensitive part of the nail. I have an odd technique when I cut nails. I don't cut them straight across, I kind of start from one side and circle all around the nail, that way if I clip a bit too far, I only nick a teeny portion thus minimal bleeding. As far as what Rotties I have; currently I have two males. One is 23 months and the other is 7 years. My other two live with my grandfather and my other one died due to faulty breeding by a so-called fine breeding kennel. My youngest male is AMADEUS and my older one is DUKE. By the way, you have two ADORABLE babies!!!!

Thanks for your advice. When i flip the paw over, there isn't a "fleshy, sensitive part" Everything's the same colour! Hiakz http://petshub.com/ubb/frown.gif
I guess i'll just have to snip a little at a time. I haven't nicked her yet and i don't want to hurt her in any way at ALL. I think I'd freak out more than her if she bled even just a tinniest bit.
Thanks again for your help, hugs to Amadeus and Duke.

Not everyone comes here on a daily basis and so if they come once a week or every two weeks these threads are new to them and there is nothing wrong with them replying to it.
Instead of making a comment to this situation leave it be and I am sure it will die back again.
Anyone can bring up old messages and it is fine. Criticizing them for doing it is silly. What if they have a different outlook on something that saves your pet.
You did not open this board let the ppl enjoy themselves.
Okay my vent is done! :D

This one is over 4 years old, and has nothing to do with saving pets. I don't mind someone doing it on the odd thread which has valuable information, I don't even usually mind when a thread that's just a week or two gets bumped... it just gets irritating when the same person does it repeatedly (not an attack on you, coolferret).

What may not interest you can interest others. You can always skip the message and move on to the others you do have that option.

There's no rule against it, it's just best not to on most forums.
General 'unofficial' rule is none older than one month.

I love Rottweilers!!! They are so nice, do what you tell them and are good at most anything. It's sad they have reputations for being mean. It's the perfect dog for me, because it's intimidating but cute and loving. :D
