Putting back the wheel

Potatohead gave birth exactly 2 weeks ago. She hated when I took away her wheel, so I kept it in the cage the whole time since it's a two-level cage and the babies couldn't get to it. She continued to run in it every day. For the first time, the babies can get up to the second level and reach the wheel. It seems now that I have to take it away or there is potential of the babies getting in there when mommy is running. How long do I have to torture Potatohead and take the wheel away? When is it safe to let her have it again?

i'm not sure about the wheel...you should probably hold off for a couple days...but the litter sounds cute!!! we want pix!!!!!

Yeah pics would be awesome:) I suggest taking the wheel out until the babies are weaned (another week) then she can have her cage (and her wheel) to herself again.:D I think Potato will be fine, it's only a week.

I would wait a week to put the wheel back in about a wekk like the others said. I hope you enjoy the little ones!
