URGENT! extremely weird and scary

while i was handling peter tonite, i felt something on his chest like area. it took me a while since he's so squirmy but i finally got a good look. i didnt know what it was at first. then i thought i saw a poop come out. i thought i mustve been mistaken. then i looked more and his anus has moved to his upper body!!!

the vet is closed on sundays. he seems to be acting normal but this is def not normal. can someone please help?

Oh my gosh, that is terrible! Do you have any idea how it may have happened? That is crazy. Well I would just make an appiontment and have it checked at the vet and see what they can do because that is definitely not normal. I am not sure that is possible double check, and if you are 100% sure make sure you get an appiontment ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ummm emergency vet like NOW. That is NOT normal, he needs to see a vet and not in the morning, NOW.

its not his butthole.. i think it could be a tumor but im not certain im doing research. i am just getting answering service but both vet offices in my town.

i feel really silly for letting myself end up convinced it was.

i guess if it is a tumor they will remove it?

ps. im not sure how many of you live in the central nj area.. but the vets ive taken my hams to arent very good with them. i was just wondering if you guys know of a place that will see them. i will take them there since some sort of care is better than nothing at all.

Go to another town. If there is something coming out of a hole in the chest, then it needs to be looked at NOW.

its not a hole and nothing is coming out of it. i found an emergency vet in a town kind of close that will see him.

i have a taxi coming to pick me up.

the vet said it was bad abcess [sp?] probably from an old fighting wound when he still cagemates with simon. they just drained it and gave me some medicine to put on it.

it wasnt a hole.. but the middle of the bump did go in a little which is why i thought it was his anus. it looked more like a cat anus.. not a hamster. i was being dumb.

well, better to be dumb and have it get checked out then to have something really wrong with him....it's still a good thing you took him to the vet....
