The Pianist

There might be a couple more....can't think of them at the moment.

Oh, that's a big list.... we'll start with anything that an animal dies in.

Boys on the Side
The Green Mile
Uptown Girls
Secondhand Lions
Anywhere But Here
Dead Poets Society
Deep Impact
Armageddon

Those are just ones that I own... I can't come up with any others off the top of my head right now.

Oh, Bicentennial Man
Jakob The Liar
What Dreams May Come
Jack

That's all I can come up with now, and only because I decided to look up Robin Williams LOL. I thought there was another one of his but those are the ones that I found.

Oh, where the red fern grows! I cried during that one, too bad we watched it at school, so everyone saw me. But I wasn't alone, my two best friends were crying too lol.

Also we watched that movie about the giant gorilla (the title has 'Joe' in it, I think) and that one was at school too.

LOL, now that you mention Return of the King, I cried at the end of Fellowship when Sam almost drowned!
I was talking to a friend about movies last night and one came up, Meet Joe Black.

Pippin
08-11-05, 11:20 AM 08-11-05
Ah, yes, how could I forget Return of the King. I cried during the part that Pippin sang while the men were charging into a battle that was hopeless and futile.

Meet Joe Black looks good, I need to watch it :) .

The bit that really got to me was when they were sitting on mount doom and Frodo was saying to Sam he was glad he was there with him at the end of all things :( Very sad!

dillydally6
08-13-05, 08:00 AM 08-13-05

I'm so sentimental........
Most recently the film that made me cry was The Pianist. The bit where he is saved from going to the concentration camp but all his family are still forced to go.
Also, Philadelphia, Beaches, Rabbit proof fence....... And many more that I can't think of at the minute!

Pippin
08-16-05, 12:58 PM 08-16-05
I cried during the final 30 minutes of The Pianist, almost non-stop. Right from the moment the German officer finds him until the end.

Far too many to mention, but classics 'Tarka The Otter' and 'Watership Down' immediately spring to mind ! Not forgetting 'The Chronicles Of Narnia'.... Aslan. :( All very sad.

This wasn't exactly a movie, but it was very sad. My driver's ed teacher's son was killed by a drunk driver. The school composed a film of how it affected the family. It was so hard not to cry when the teacher was crying and right there. I'm sure there wasn't a dry eye in the room.

Beaches, Deep Impact, Armageddon, Sophies Choice, Erin Brockovich, Titanic, Ghost, there's so many I just cant think of them right now!

oh and not forgetting Dumbo, when he goes to visit his mum in her little prison and she sings to him and rocks him in her trunk.... Thats the saddest thing ever!

Didn't cry but came close when Ben's wife rejected him as The Thing in Fantastic Four.

Parents say Bambi tramitized me but I don't remember that.

I'm not a very emotional person, so i can watch sad sad movies and not even get a little tear to come out. Its just the way i am. I don't have a very *soft* heart, but that doesn't mean i cant love anything or anyone, it just means i don't show a lot of emotion.

i cried when i watch "A Walk to Remember" I was never one to show my emotions. My dad always told me only wimpy people cry. So i never cried much. Not until i got married. My hubby has the softest heart and crys for anything. In a way i guess he taught me its ok to cry. Now i cry all the time during movies if something is just a little bit sad. :) And about titanic im gonna say what my friend said the sadest part of that movie was when the old lady drops the necklace into the ocean LOL!

Was it "Two-Bits and Pepper"? I must have watched that movies a hundred times when I was little.

RATBRAT21-
My husband won't admit it but when we watch movies heck we could be watching Maury-reunion shows he will start tearing up..hehhehe
It's funny that I was taught the same thing "not to cry" and i dont unless it's movies...weird. It's cute to look over during a touching moment in a movie and see your husband with tears running down his face... :)

I thought Armagedon was a big tear jerker too
