last night i was over by a all girls catholic school with two of my friends. we were holding signs looking for prom dates haha. after one left we waited on the corner of the main street for my brother. my friend mary-kate said "oooo poor thing!" and at first i didn't know what she was talking about but when i looked back i saw it was a dog that was 6 inches away from being hit. the car had just swerved in time. we tried to get the dog but it ran farther down the road. when my brother came his friend was with him and i had them drive to get me the dog. we ended up following it into a parking lot with two gardens in the back corners. he seemed ficious and was biting at us and running but eventually we read his tag and got his name and a phone number. unfortunately when we called the number a answering machine was on. by now we have left 5 messages. we brought the dog to our home and got a mapquest of the dogs house. the dog was close to his house so we were happy. but it turned out that the owners had moved and the tags were old. we asked the neighbors and they said that they moved around where the old house was. so we don't know if they abandoned him or what. we brought him home for the night and i slept with him outside. we werent sure if our cat and dog would get along with him and it was 2 in the morning so we didn't feel like trying. last night was an amazing night by the way. perfect temperature! well i just gave him a bath and we are gonna call the vet with his vaccine number and hopefully track down the owners. he looks likme a miniature pincher or something. i think he ways around 10 lbs. and he had 2 spiked collars. so now we are calling him trent and we think he must have come from a great home because he is incredibly obediant and doesnt bark unless someone (anyone at all) leaves him.

That's awful... I don't believe for a second that she'd only just realised that he was missing. Some people are so heartless and irresponsible.

Well done for rescuing him.

Spiked collars? Aren't these extremely dangerous for dogs?

ooooo not 'spiked'. its sorta studded like the studded belts. he had a harley davidson one and another one. no they are perfectly safe. they arent sharp at all.
