I agree with this quotation. Wat are your comments?

I can train any dog in 5 minutes. It's training the owner that takes longer.

It is very true though. My trainer spent days teaching me how to teach my dog. Using my dog, the trainer showed me the commands "heel", "stay", etc. It took me weeks to learn and understand them.

But by the time, i was to teach my dog, he has learnt all the things that the trainer taught me! I "teach" my dog without much difficulty. I think he must have learnt it, when the trainer was teaching me. LOL.

Kourtney, i think the quotation that Byron shared with us, meant that it is easier to train the dog then their owners. LOL.

I agree with the quotation though. My dog is smarter than i am. Lousy me... http://petshub.com/ubb/smile.gif LOL.

Yes , per say the qoutation does hold merit.
For anyone else that instructs Obed. class or the like, im sure you understand. It does take time to teach the handler how to comunicate with thier dog, properly. I dont know how many times I have seen a dog learn
inadvertent training from thier unknowing handlers actions/reactions. The same holds true for my Search and Rescue unit. It can take as long as 2yrs to get a certified team
(dog/handler)ready for callout status. It is the handler that takes longer to train then the dog.
