Are they still split caged?
I split caged my females for 2 weeks, before introduction, I suggest no less then a week for a successful introduction between 2 adult gerbils of the same sex.
It takes time, you must be paitent.

K, here is a link to the AGS "Split Cage" Info - Split Cage Directions (http://www.agsgerbils.org/Gerbil_Care_Handbook/adopt.html#split)
Pretty much you keep them on each side for say a week, but maybe twice a day you switch them sides. When they start trying to groom one another through the screen, or sleep beside one another at the screen then you will want to introduce them in a play pen, or somewhere neutral for an hour or so watching them.
Then in a clean cage plop them in together with lots of cardbord but no toys (so they don't get territorial over anything). After a few days start adding a wheel or house, whatever it is you put in your tanks.
The big thing is to make sure they don't get into a big fight, if blood is drawn there is a chance they will never be able to get along.

Yep, what andreaS15 said.... Some of my pairs have taken 1 week to pair up, others 3 months.... It depends on the gerbils involved. Remain patient and don't leave together until certain they get along.

After your sure they are ready to be together, put them in a big space such as a bathtub. If they can handle that then put them in a smaller space and so on until you finally put them together in the cage. Remember don't take your eyes off them until they are sleeping with each other.
