We took in a stray un-neutered cat and he sprayed everything, We just got him nuetered on saturday but he still sprays. Will this eventually stop?

clean the area urinated on with a neutralizing agent
there maybe an adjustment period. just ensure he is in fact spraying and not having difficulty urinating.

How old is he? For some cats, once they start to spray they will do so every now and again. I agree, get the pet pee stuff (lol can't remember the name) spray it. If you have a steam cleaner, steam clean and then spray again. It is over kill but, just because you can't smell it does not mean it is not there.

I had one cat that did what your cat is doing for about 2 weeks after he was fixed, then he quit..... The vet told me that it takes a little bit of time for the hormones to get to normal. (or something like that. it was 4 years ago)

Nature's miracle is pretty good at getting the urine scent out, so that pets don't smell urine on an area and think it is okay to go there.

Also try feliway. It's a spray and a difusier.

Thanks for caring for him and getting him neutered.

feliway is a good option however it can be costly. i prefer ruling out all medical issues that may be causing inappropriate urination first before resorting to behavior modification (even with pheramonal sprays)

yes rule out medical issues with a vet visit. Cats spray on a learned habit...it is not instinct. Once they learn....Females can learn how to spray....Felaway (sp?) is great but get all of his smells out
