i hae another question. i read about the cardboard box thing. well say i put it in a sammer pastic cage to just bring it home and not the bux and it is not tamed yet then how dowuld i take it out of the temory cage to put it in it's cage.

my hammie was not tame when I got her and she even bit me a couple times in the first couple weeks, but you should still pick her up and get her used to it. don't let her know you're scared, but don't be too pushy, either. It's a friendship you're trying to foster, so remember that things are give and take.

i've no idea what that is. but u can try to tilt the cage's entrance to align it with the actual cage's entrance

give him time to roam around the cage.. to settle down and mark his scent

u can attempt to handle him later

and it takles qute a while to tame some hamsters. be patient and persistant. also dont be scared.

The best way to be able to hold your hamster is to pick up the hamster bedding from the cage and get the scent on your hands. This might sound a little strange, but the hamster shouldn't be as afraid of you as before. If your afraid of them biting you, wrap them up in your shirt (with room to breathe) and talk to them in a gental calming voice. The more time you spend with you hammy, the better friends you two will become.

if you dont wanna use ur shrit use socks. i no it sounds weird but it works good. it can also be used with cats and dogs when ur playin!
