I have a question about registering an animal to the vet. Well Im adopting this cat in a week or so, and since my mom always registers them to my vet. I dont know how to, since my mom goes alone to the vet and registers my hamsters, but because she's on a business trip for a month my dad needs to know. Does he just have to go up the counter and ask them to register my cat? And yes I'll definatly have pictures for you guys!! :D LOL Her name is Zepplin(Zeppy), and she is a gray-brown tabby! Thanks guys!! :sun:

Does he just have to go up the counter and ask them to register my cat? :confused:That'd be a good start, could also ring first asking any questions, but you should just be able to walk in and say "I want to register my new cat here" ! :) Good luck.

When its time to make an appt. just call and give them your info. When you go in you will most likely just fill out some paperwork with the age, sex, color, etc.

when new clients come into my clinic to register we recieve all the personal information(name, address, phone number) and info on the animal (age, name, sex (spayed/neutered), colour, vaccination update.) any vaccination records or microchip/tattoo information you may/may not have should be brought with you at that time. if you are already an existing client it is more about verifying your phone number and address and adding the new addition to the already existing database.

Yes, they will ask you questions for you to answer. If the cat has had any past information (vacicnes etc) you will need to inform them of that and if you have any past paperwork for the kitty you can take that in.
