Hi just a couple of things:
Have you ever thought of crate training your dog. This way when you are absent from your home your dog can not get into trouble. It will protect your dog (safety wise ie; from choking on something it has eaten) and protect your house and its contents from being being shredded.
People often mistake separation anxiety for boredom. Both cause dogs to exhibit destructive behaviour. You did not mention how much you exercise your dog. Depending on its size and energy level it would be a good idea to exercise before you good out. A tired dog is a sleepy, happy dog. After being exercise I'm sure you'll see a difference in your dog.
We have crate trained our 2 dogs the pup still goes in the crate when we go out, and the other one is an adult now. She usually will curls up on the couch and will often remain in that spot the entire time!! These are 2 big, active, and high energetic dogs too!!!
You might also want to look into obedience classes. Dogs are intelligent and need to be stimulated and obedience is a great way to do so. Even if you have already gone through obedience, a refresher class is always beneficial.
Good Luck and keep us posted!!!!! http://petshub.com/ubb/smile.gif http://petshub.com/ubb/smile.gif
