I'm just curious on why everyone thinks that sugar gliders are illegal to own in Pennsylvania? I live in Pa and have been doing alot of reasearch on the legality of sugar gliders in my state, and this is what the Harrisburg Game Commissions Office told me.
It is NOT ILLEGAL to own a sugar glider in Pa it is only ILLEGAL to buy, sell, trade, or adopt OUTSIDE of the state. It is also ILLEGAL for local petstores to sell ,or adopt them to residents of Pa. If you are looking to adopt, buy, or sell a sugar glider and you live in Pa then you MUST find a person who does these things WITHIN the state lines. If you cannot find a person in the state that offers any of these options, then you would need to try and contact the game commission to TRY and obtain a permit, the only problem with this is THEY ARE NOT giving out permits ANYMORE!!! So then your pretty much out of luck.If for some miraculous reason you were able to obtain a permit, they DO NOT allow you to ship them!!!
If you have any questions my Yahoo messenger name is T i t a n x g u a r d (minus the spaces this is the only way it will let me post it)
Thanks,
Tarah
