Have a soft spot for piggies but don't want the commitment of owning another one for their whole life? Why not foster? Have a Heart Guinea Pig Rescue (www.haveheart.petfinder.org) is always looking for new foster homes. The more we have, the more guinea pigs we can save. If you are interested in opening up your heart and home to a homeless piggie, please email gplover78@yahoo.com We will supply the cage, water bottle, food bowl and of course the piggies. We also handle all the medical should it arise as well as the phone calls and emails so you wouldn't have to deal with the public. There is also no commitment with fostering. You can foster as long or as short as you would like. All you would have to do is supply the bedding, hay, veggies and pellets. Please spread the word!

Marci! Sorry to get your hopes up when you see you have a reply. My name is Marcy too actually. I'd love to do it and I'm from Delaware but am currently in Shillington, PA for school.

Right now i'm fostering ferrets and I can't personally help. But could you put an add in the classifieds of the newspapers? Or maybe you could advertise at Petsmarts and Petcos and anywhere else.

I hope you find people. I wish I could do it.

Hello~ Yes, I advertise everywhere on the internet for the piggies. Once you get back to DE if you are interested in fostering, let me know as I have 2 other foster homes there.

Unfortunatly, it is too far to work with my rescue, but check on Petfinder.com as there are a few rescues in VA that I'm sure can use the help. thanks for writing!

As always, we are in need of foster homes. The more foster homes we have, the more guinea pigs we can rescue. If you are interested in fostering, please let us know!

LABAN & NEO!!!!

The boys MUST be adopted together! They have also grown up since their picture was taken.

For some reason no one seems to want white piggies. I don't under stand this. We are cute, really we are. We love to play hide and go peek. If you like to play this game to we could play it in the dark and you would always win. See there are advantages to picking us over all the other fancy pretty colors. We can snuggle just as good and cuddle just as good, and we have no problem nibbling as good if not better than those colored piggies. Please give us the forever home we so desperately want.

Laban (meaning white) came into the rescue on 2/16/05 when his owner was "tired" of breeding piggies and was not taking very good care of the piggies anymore. So, thankfully we have him now. He is a cute albino American male guinea pig. He is now used to being around kids, cats and dogs.

Neo is a cute albino american male. He was only about 6 weeks old when he came into the rescue on 4/6/05. He is now used to being around dogs, cats and kids.

PREVENT A LITTER, FIX A CRITTER!! A donation of $57 will cover Neo or Laban's neuter. Please contact us to see how to make a donation of any amount to help us cover the cost.

Laban and Neo are currently in a foster home in Shamong, NJ. Please email me to make arrangements to meet them!

updated 4/13/05

There is a $50 adoption fee to adopt the boys.
