I added to my family today. I went to Petsmart and Petco and ended up with four new gerbils, and a new hammie. (Whom this thread is about.) So far my "Honey Bear Hamster" is the only new little beast I have named. I decided to name her Honeydo. Not like the melon though, because I hate that, it is gross. But I was thinking about calling her Honey, but that just didn't seem right. I think maybe because it only has one syllable, most of my little animals have at least two syllables in their names.
Anywho, she was so cute. I was waiting for the person to come and get a gerbil for me and I was looking at the hammies because the gerbil I was getting was sleeping. And she was sitting in the corner curled up next to her sister (I think) and then she started to eat a sunflower seed and she just looked so cute. So then I asked to hold her, after I held her when the girl was getting the boxes, Honeydo was trying to kick her sister out of the corner spot she had claimed when Honeydo was taken out. I decided then that I was for sure getting her.
Since I got her home, she hasn't even gone in the igloo yet, or made a nest. Everytime I have been in there, she is just wandering around aimlessly or running in the wheel. She just needs time to adjust I guess.
