My Little Critter Bedding is clumping into a few balls and sticking to my long haired hammie. I have to cut them off safely and will be challenging. Anyone else have that problem? What should I do?

My hamster gets little pieces stuck on him. He is not long haired thugh. When do you find them? every two to three days I find them. I take little ones off everyday to prevent big ones. If you do do this than I sujest getting chinchila sand and have your hammie roll in it and get off the sticky part so bedding doesn't stick.

I will try that sand, thanks. I notice the bedding sticks all at once in big chunks. We kind of cut some off this weekend, and gave him a little haircut :-)

It is pretty clear here that you should switch bedding. No offence, but should you have thought of that? :P

Is chinchila sand safe for hamsters?

yes. BUT WHATEVER YOU DO DON'T GET CHINCHILA DUST!! That is not good for them.

I'll try the chinchilla sand when I have Skittles out in his play pen.
