Plz help hanster breathing weird

I have a dwarf black russian hamster haven't had him for even 6 months. All of a sudden he is not moving nor opening his eyes and he is breathing weird as if he has a hirball. I switched his beeding to the paper bedding and last week i was sick. Hope this helps plz post back thanks

Obviously, calling a vet is best. But at least consider cleaning the habitat, using carefresh bedding, and adding ornacycline to the drinking water - an antibiotic. (Never force liquids into a pet; they can drown).

Have you checked for mites?

P.S. You can get ornacycline (tetracycline) in any pet store's bird section. Use half a tablet in about four ounces of water. You can give a little stronger solution at first. MAYBE it will help. Maybe. Best wishes.

I figured it was too late. :(

Maybe someone else will read it and get some ideas, as can you for future pets. I always keep some ornacycline on hand for emergencies.

Give him a nice, deep, burial in a safe place.

I'm sorry about your hammie. :( I think its much harder to lose them when you don't know why.

My dwarf died about 6 months after I got her too, no symptoms, I just found her the next morning. I went crazy trying to find out what happened, or what I did wrong.
