A week a ago i posted about having 2 biting hamsters...
WELL THEY HAVE BABIES 7-8 i HAVENT HAD A TOTAL COUNT IM SO HAPPY! NONE HAVE DIED!

They were born on sept 28 and have spots of fur coming and wiskers are growing!!

They mated again witch insnt to good i dont want it get out of control but they dad is helping the mom and they are doing a great job!

Go to a site to learn how to sex dwarves. Then when these babies are old enough in a few weeks, put all the males with daddy so he can't mate with the mom again, of his daughters if you don't remove them.

i might make a mistanke with the sexing but thanks but i have a question about the female should i be givin it lots of atteiotn like i am and now there crawling all over

atteiotnWhat? Are you trying to spell attention? That's what I am thinking you are trying to do. Give her normal attention. If you bother her too much and she thinks you have become a threat to her babies, she will canabalize them to keep you from hurting them.

Hi ferr3tfan, my dwarf hamster (winter white) just gave birth to 6 healthy pups about 5 days ago and they are doin' a gr8 job together. You do have to separate the mommy and daddy if you dont expect more pups every month because they can mate even 24hrs right after the pups were born.

Awww you all have Hammies! So do i have 3 baby Syrians!! They are almost 4 weeks old! By the way is Natural Pine Shavings good as bedding? i hear some bad comments thats why

Lol i know they breed so much i have 2 more females having babies!! They are together on the breeding box. And i have 11 around 1 month old babies! How big is your tank and how long ago do you leave the babies in their onw tank?

uhh well i started out with 3 guppies. Two females and 1 male. One female had 17 babies. I put the trio into a 10 gallon tank... So the 17 babies were in a 1.5 gallon tank for about two months.. To make a long story short, I have about 53 miniature guppies.. about 11 males and the rest females. only one parent is alive. The males are in a 5 gallon and the females in a 10 gallon... so ya lol

I know they multiply like crazy, I have 3 females and 4 males in a 20 gallon tank and then i have the 1 month old babies in a 2.7 gallon tank! When should i put them with the adults?

when they are big enough not to fit into thier mouths. Or about half the size of the adults.

Hi PetLuver21257! Yes I do have a dwarf hotot, he is sooo adorable...more each day! Very energic, happy and loves to eat :cool:
