I just found a little baby Hamster whos eyes haven't even opened yet. I got a little plastic cage thingy with a sponge that I filled with water. Anyhow, what do I feed it and how do I care for it.

I think you are another troll.

You can not just "find" a baby hamster. They are weaned at three weeks of age.

If you really want to help if you are serious there are many older threads you can find dealing with gentle feeding of hamsters under three weeks with pedialyte, yogurt, condensed milk (warmed) etc. Keep them warm, and feed every 2-3 hours.

Again you 2 are jumping down someone's throat. How do you know that someone didn't dump it outside, and leave them there to die? Maybe the person bought a pregnant hamster and didn't know that and put the babies outside to die?

It is true that s/he left out to many details, like where she found it, where there others, etc. But still, don't jump down someones throat like that.

Zouave might of asummed(sp?) but they also gave some advice.

Billy is it still alive? Can you give us more details about it?

In the fields behind our house, there are burrows everywhere that mice run through. I remember last summer I found a ton of babies under a hole area. So like Leah said, stop jumping down ppls throats!

If I jumped DOWN someone throat, would that mean they would be eating me? :p but really think about it, what are the chances of finding one baby hamster, that could only say alive for a few hour at that age without mom? Like you said he could have found a baby mouse, but the why would he be on the HAMSTER forum?
