Im sure most of you will remember that i got 2 male russian dwarf hamsters. Well during the past 2 days the one who i have noticed had gotten fatter then his friend had become nasty to him and attacking him a lot. I seperated them and just to make sure i checked their genders sure enough the fatter 1 was a FEMALE. I should have checked them before but i was trusting them. Big mistake! So an update on my female.... she had 2-3 pups sunday!! Im happy that they are all alive and moms taking care of them. It was an honest mistake on the petshop i guess, or maybe i just being generous. But the truth is having them safe and sound is better then having mom kill them. Shes doing well and so are the pups! It was lucky that i seperated them when i did or else there would be more pups on the way. WHICH THERE ISN'T! But anyways i get to raise baby hamsters again which is ok to me because i've had experience in this and i have the money and time. Just a word to new comers to the hamster world just make sure of the gender of your russian dwarf hasmter before placing them in the same cage !
