OK guys... i think she is gone... its been almost a week and there are no signs of her. And the cat hasn't acted weird... I was at the pet store today just looking around and i found this pretty female teddybear and i decided to get her. She is all creamy no white on her at all that i can tell so far. She looks really young, and healthy. Is there anything that i should keep in mind as to like using the same cage? I soaked it in hot water and used baking soda on it. Threw away the old chew toys and got her a new litter area. What else guys??? Thanks!!!

I would reccomend using bleach, it takes away all the smells of your old hamster. And when you say litter area, you mean threw out all the used litter right? Well, good luck on your new little girl! And what are you going to name her? ALSO: Make sure the cage is always ESCAPE PROOF!!!

I wouldn't use the same cage, and CT2's are escapable to Syrians. Once they get older, the hammie gets heavier and the door starts latching less tight and pretty soon the hammie can get the door open by itself. I would get a nice escape virtually proof glass tank and lid.

I know CT are escapable thats how my Hammie got pregnant she escaped one night and got together with my other one and found them in the bathtub??? weird i know but this is her second litter and she escaped like that. So be very careful :)

tks guys.!! I think i'm going to stay with the ct right now untill i get done moving my room around and i am sure where i am going to keep her. I named her Mahala. What i ment by litter area is i bought her a new litter pan because kalia chewed hers up.

Good luck with Mahala. And let us know if you find evidence of Kalia when you rearrange your room. As long as you haven't found evidence of her death, I think their is still a chance you might still find her.

still no show and i haven't seen any evidence of her here or dead. Im still lookn out for her though!

Don't give up on Kalia, keep checking new places, putting out food and water, etc!
