There are hundreds of homeless labradors!
-look in your classifieds in the newspaper
-http://www.petfinder.com
type in your zipcode, choose "Dog","baby", and "Labrador". it will show you all the Lab puppies on petfinder!
-check out your local S.P.C.A. (got 3 of our dogs from there!)
you can search under "labrador retriever" and see if theres any classifieds there.

Dood luck!

9 months old is a puppy. Maybe you should have a talk with your wife and consider an older pup 4 months +? They are usually easier to train, or already come with some training. Young Pups aren't all they're cracked up to be.

They come needing training, socialization, vaccinations, altering, they chew, they chase, the nip, they need house training. Basically, having a young puppy is like having a 1 year old. You have to keep your eye on them constantly.

Color shouldn't be a concern when it comes to finding the right dog for your family.

Have you visited (with your family) the local kennels, pounds, shelters, and humane societies?

Somtimes I wonder why people come here, and then don't appreciate the help they are given.
