Is it farily common for a 6 week old hedgie with a new home to sleep most of the time, and only eat very very very little quantities until he/she has adapted to their new home?
Thanks in advance!

It is very common for babies to sleep a lot, however I have some concern on the age of your baby. Six weeks is extremely young.
How much food is your little one eating? And is it drinking? If it is eating a very tiny amount, try softening a little of its food with water, it is possible it wasn't quite ready to leave mom yet, and needs a little extra pampering to help him along.

Thanks for your reply. I did watch him take a few good size bites out of his dish last night, and then lap up some water. That is the first time though, I may have just been asleep to see it other times.
Sonic is adapting nicely now though! Thanks!

Hey that's great! Some owners have been so worried before that they actually counted the pieces of kibble in their hedgehog's bowl to see if they were eating or not.
