There is someone who is giving away a female beagle,
and I was wondering if it would be easy to see a spay scar??
Someone droped the dog off at there door and they don't know if it's spayed or not....
And of corse we'd take good care of it :D
(it will be a inside dog)

With a short haired breed like a beagle, probably yes. When we adopted my GSD she has a lot of hair on her stomach, and the vet couldn't see one, so he had to shave the hair off her belly. If they can't see it, sometimes its possble to feel it as well.

yes that is the tuff line down the belly...on a beagle probably only 3 inches long below the belly button (if you can find that: usually a little nub), some vets also tatoo a female sign on the belly or inner thigh, some put in "spay beads" so you will feel a string of pearls at the scar site...hope that helps and post pics when you get her!

I cannot see the scar on my black lab who was spayed just under a year ago. Even seperating the fluffy fur on her belly.

we're not even going to look at her now beacause right now were needing to come up with a bunch of money all at one time beacause we're trying to get a house....
And they found her so they don't know if she's trained spayed OR if she has her shots...
If they still have her in 3 weeks (and i doubt that) then we might get her but right now we can't afford it........
We have a max of a month to move :mad:
