Well, our rent time on our house is finished, so now where moving to this condo on the beach.Only problem is, i wanted to adopt a big dog and now i cant , they only allow little dogs ( no bigger than a beagle)
Well, i do obedience trials and frisbee with my other dog. so do u know any small dogs that are energetic and trainable enough to do obedience and frisbee? ive never had small dogs so ANY help with breeds or anything would be great.
( it would be great if they are known to be easily trainable and like water) i go to the beach alot. But ofcourse i know that even if the breed is highly trainable, and likes water. the dog might not be.
ps- the only obedience center in the area only allows purebreds to compete.SO any breed recomendations with be perfect, i wanna start looking at purebred rescues ... so i need to choose a breed Lol

any help would be great,
sheka

pss- i looked in all shelters in my area and they have NOOOOO small dogs, and NOOO puppies ( they say its because christmas is coming up) so purebred rescue is my only other option. plz dont start a drama, Im still saving a life..just a purebred one.

Hey,

Border Terriers are a fabulous dog. They have tons of energy so they'd be good to play frisbee with. That's the kind of dog I'm wanting to get when I move out. They tend to be a people pleaser so I'm told they're pretty easy to train.

Just go to dogbreedinfo.com and they have tons of breeds and information about them.

Good luck puppy searching.

The term 'Big dog in a small package' totally made me think of Pugs. ^_^

They're probably the most hilarious, arrogant, funny little dogs you'll ever meet. They've got such attitude and charisma that it's impossible not to fall in love with them.

Good luck finding a pup!

Depending on how much time and energy you have, Jack Russell Terriers are GREAT big dogs in small packages. They're terriers (terrors!) through and through, and they're athletic, reletively easy to train, and I've seen many competeing in dog sports, especially agility and frisbee. However, they are extremely energetic so if they don't have an outlet for that energy, can be destructive, and eventually develop behaviour problems, like any bored dog.
Forgot to add that recently they've become two seperate breeds, Jack Russells and Parson Russells. The only difference (as they were the same breed for years) is Jack's have shorter legs than Parson's. I prefer the Parson but that's a personal preference.
