Hmm, an odd question. I have a 4 y/o cockiteil, and all my other birds seems to be in love with him. lol My friend's male budgie took a liking to him so much that she gave himo me, and my quaker will hang on the side of his cage and just sing away o Berd (the 'teil). Even when I let the all hree together, they all ozy up for a nap! The busgie on one side, Berd in the middle and Quacker (the quaker) on the other side.

My family has always has birds when I was little, But Berd is my first bought and owned bird. I was always told/assumed that 'teils and other (ie, bigger) birds didn't get along well. But I was wondering if it would be ok to house all of these guys together? Even the quaker and he budgie ge along! The budgie can fly about, and hen land of Quaker's head, and he doesn' mind. hey've never once squabbled, and he quaker's cage is HUGE.

Oddly enough, Berd doesn't get on well with other 'tiels, so tha's another reason why I though his might work. Any suggesions?

When I adopted my wild-caught red-masked (cherry headed) conure, he was housed in an indoor aviary with quakers and tiels. Nobody looked the worse-for-wear, except the conure I took home. He was missing all the feathers on the top of his head (it was all scarred), missing a toe (I'm assuming from the capture process in So. America), and had had an eye infection nobody bothered to treat and it healed over with calcium deposits, so it felt like he had sand in his eye. But all this, the lady told me, had happened before she got him. This aviary was huge though, 6' high x 5' long x at least 3' wide. I would watch them close. They may get along outside their cages, but when locked up together, may be a whole other story. At least if they are not locked up, if something does start, they can escape the aggressor....locked up they can't.
