Hi friend,

Cool down! Take it as a bad experience
or complain the groomer. Next time opt
for a grooming session where you can sit it.
Usally my maltese also whine when i wanna groom. The nail cutter have not reach the
nail, he whine 1st.

Hi,

I don't bring my dog often to groomers but the one at Simei is quite good and you can see through the window. But i think the charges are a bit high. Also, you need to call the place first, because the groomer is not around at times and could even be off-duty on certain days.

I agree with Malteser. My dog whines even when my clipper is not on my hand! I supposed this could be one of their tricks on their sleves. http://petshub.com/ubb/smile.gif

Do let us know how everything goes.

I am a dog groomer, and I apologize for those in the profession that are not as caring for the animals as they should be. As a groomer I do not generally allow the clients to sit in with while their dogs are being groomed because for the most part the animals do not behave very well, and it makes my job a lot more difficult not to mention endangering the dog that is constantly wiggling trying to get to the owner. I would reccomend going to a shop where you feel that the groomers are trustworthy, go in and talk to the groomer before you leave your dog, I know at our shop we are happy to talk with customers that have questions, and we often will get turn around a dog quickly if arangements are made prior to the appointment. We groom out in the open where people can watch.

sarcastictigger,

If only all groomers are like you. Yah, i understand that most dogs mishave when their owners are in view for them.

But i have a friend who sent his dog to a groomer and he peep from behind a door, with a curtain, to see if everything goes well. As his dog whined a bit, the groomer used his kunckles to knock his dog's head. Though he is outside of the room, he could hear the "knock" sound. He won't mind the groomer scolding his dog or even a w at the butt, but knocking on the head is a bit too much. Anyway, he now grooms his dog himself. http://petshub.com/ubb/wink.gif

By the way, what is your charges? Do you come to the house to groom? Tell us more.
