Hello everyone, I am a new sugar glider owner I have done research in the past about these cute critters but never got one because there were no breeders around me That is until the expo came to long island There was a breeder there from Texas who had tons of sugar glider babies for sale I talked to them for over an hour before making the long commitment to get one I am so in love with her already She allows me to hold her, although she crabs a little and she is so beautiful I just wanted to introduce myself to all of you and if you have any advice for me that would be wonderful I have a bonding pouch, which she is in right now Talk to you soon

My best adviceforget what that "breeder" told you and go stright to sugarglidernet for thr real answers on things such as housing and diet these glider "breeders" that go to home shows and expos and such either 1) mass produce joeys who are inbreed and sold at a VERY young age or 2) buy them in mass quanities from glider mills and sell them at a VERY young age and have no history availble for them They will also try to tell you to feed them eith cat food, a pelleted diet, or a diet they "created" None of these are good for your glider!

what is the actual website that you want me to go to? I think I went to sugarglider.net but it seemed like it was just a forum like this one.

Glider Central is the BEST. There are soo many people to help you out, has links to diets, how to bond, vet listings, everything you need all in one site!
I LOVE that place ( im ScootersPet on there too) :)

Congrats on your baby, do you have any pics of her yet? I'd love to see her :)

ugh. Never buy at expo shows in the future. Those things are awful.

worldwidesugarglidernetwork.com is awesome! Check them out if you can.

What cage, diet etc is your new glider on? Try to get her a friend if you can.
