i have a yellow and green budgie i cant tell if ity is a boy or girl because the crown above his beak is purple not brown(girl) r blue(boy)

and i leave his cage pen and he never somes out? why?

he has a bath, a dangling toy, and a salt lick and he doesnt use thoes either what can i do?

Males usually have brighter colors and females are usually dull. This is how I tell w/ most birds. I really don't know much about them and I don't have any myself, I hope this helps.

i heard it he has color around his bumm its a boy but he is white arund his rump

Could you post a pic? Sounds like a male, but a pic would help. How long have you had him? I've heard it's better to mist you bird with a spray bottle than to leave a dish of water. You also need a cuddle bone, it provides the necessary calcium budgies need.

P.S. My budgie is yellow and green too. His cere use to look kind of purple, now it's blue.

female parakeets have a line between their legs u can tell right away an male parakeets dont. hope this helped you

yes now i knjow thaty my budgie is a male well from what i have heard :) thank you every one
