Hey what would I need to wear if I were going to a jumping show?? Jus need to know...:agree:

It depends on your age. Either age requires you to wear a coat, shirt (collared), safety helmet and then it gets different from there.
Children under 12-13 should wear jodhpur boots and pants, children over that age in some classes are required to wear breeches and tall boots (dress or hunt boots).

You can find alot of this clothing at Dover Saddlery online.
Check with your instructor to see what the clothing requirement is in the class your competing in, some jumping classes will even let you wear chaps in the class.

Dont' do a pinque jacket (the red ones) those are only for members of hunt clubs. do a hunter green or balck or grey jacket!

shemmy - your riding habbit should consist of whatever clothes are necessary for your show. ask your trainer what most people wear. if it's a smaller local show you might not need to wear formal attire though some do. we have smaller local Hunter shows at my barn and i just wear my breeches, tall boots and a polo jacket (with my velvet helmet). that's what most people would do..so yeah.

thanks guys!!! this is all sooo great! my show is 2 days from now!!!! I am SOOOO excited(as u can see in my typing!!!) sorry about the comment in expert on horses-ask me your questions.. that was only for the string, not for you people all the time in the other strings.:D
