so my hamster will not stop biting us and shes about 5 months old now. She has gotten to the point where sometimes we could lay our hand in there and she wont think anything of it but sometimes when we put our finger in there she bites. My friend who gave the hamster to me said she didnt used to bite till she started fighting with her other hamster then she started biting them all the time. Is this generally true in hamsters?will the get agressive after fighting? oh and I have had the hamster for about 1 month

What type of hamster is it, a syrian or a dwarf. I don't think that after hamsters fight with eachother, they will bite the human that owns it.... I think that you possibly startled her by putting your hand in there, it happens with my hamster. Just make sure that she is aware of your hand, like take her out by picking up the wheel while she is on the wheel, then put your hand out so that she can step onto it and then you can play with her. Good Luck.

Kinda strange, but one of my little robos has started biting me, too. This was after I had to separate two of the other robos because they were fighting with him and biting him pretty badly.

This can't be normal for robos, right? Aren't they supposed to be the most docile hamsters?
