Providing you can keep the temperature up then it shouldn't become a "real" life or death situation. If you have no other heat source you can put a bottle/water bottle filled with hot water and wrapped in a towel in the cage so that he/she can lie against it to keep warm. Or move the vivarium close to a radiator or heater (but keep an eye on the temp so it doesn't get too hot and try to angle it so only one end of the viv is by the heat source). Next time it's always advisable to get a spare bulb just in case ;)

Just out of curiosity, what wattage of bulb do you guys use? Research has told us 75watts, but im wondering from experts.

It depends on the size of the vivarium and also if it's on a thermostat. I also use a 60 Watt bulb on my leopard gecko's viv, but my bigger viv's have 100 Watt bulbs. If the tank is around the 24 inch mark then a 60w would be fine.
