skunks

does anybody know anything about keeping skunks as pets?

i no that they make great pet as long as you get them desented, and they act like cats, except more lovable at times. they are omnivores as far as i can tell but im sure tehy prefer meat.

Skunks are great pets. Some love them not my forteit though. Still have a musky odor but they are descented and usually altered if you get one for a pet. They are outlawed in some states so you should check into that if you are thinking about getting one. Also some places you are required to have licenses for them. So I would check into the legalities of having them first.

we have skunks living in our back yard too. very cute, but they dig up our neibours yard, looking for grubs( there yard is full)

if i was to get a pet skunk, are breeders the only place that i can get them.

I dunno if they are illegal, but i want to find out, as i live in brantford, 2 hours away.

Most likely breeders are the only place you can get them since they are not a common pet I highly doubt shelters would have them and I dont know of any petstores that sell them although petstores wouldnt be a good place to buy any animal anyways.
