when i let my hamster out it nearly jumped off my knee and onto the floor it nearly escaped and got in a little home
how can i kind of stop this or at least slow her down :)

Ok first of all, can you please post all of your questions on one thread? Because having like 4 threads by one person is a little annoying!
Anyway, Play with your hamster in a closed in area. You can put her on your bed and then guard all of the areas where she can jump off and go onto the floor with pillows. Let her run around in a big cardboard box and sometimes hold her and pet her when she is about 2 inches higher than the bottom of the box. Think of fun creative escape proof ideas....

^ I agree it is annoying! You could play with your hamster in a dry bath tub that way she can't escape and she will get used to you.
