playing with hamster

when i let my hamster out it nearly jumped off my knee and onto the floor it nearly escaped and got in a little home

how can i kind of stop this or at least slow her down :)

You should know this before you buy a dwarf hamster, that they are jumpy! Especially when young.... Just keep taking her out and talking to her there is no special way to get her calm in a instant. As long as she is not biting this is a very small problem, barely worth mentioning....

ok.. well can you post o a pic of the hamster please? I thought you had posted a pic before and it was a dwarf. My bad! :o Young syrians that are not used to people are scared and jumpy also. It will take time for him/her to get used to you.
