Haven't we been through this 59,540,957 times? lol Anyway no pine! Aspen, carefresh, yesterday's new, and corn cob are the best. Pine and cedar are bad.

Just because a product is labeled for small aimals doesn't mean that it's safe to use. There are many pet products out there that are labeled for use in a particular animal and sare "safe" but are really bad, like Hartz flea collars for cats that causes major health problems. Many pet stores will recommend and sell you a bad product just so they can make money.
All forms of pine bedding are bad for hamsters and other small pets, even if the product is labeled "safe for small animals". Carefresh and Aspen and other similar types are the only beddings you should use. These types of bedding are more expensive than pine but I just think it's better to pay a little more for the safe bedding than to pay for vet bills when the pet develops an allergy or some other health problem from being on the bad bedding.

Wow, I have posted this picture like a million times!!
This is what an allergic reaction to either pine or cedar bedding in a dwarf hamster looks like:

You wouldn't want that to happen to your hammie would you? And just like BlueSandpiper said, just because it says it's safe and is on the market, doesn't mean that it is good for your pet or that it tells the truth! Use aspen or carefresh bedding.

Personally, the colors are a waste of money for a tiny bag. Rodents don't care what color their bedding is. They're just happy with somthing soft to sleep and walk on and to absorb wetness. I think most rodents have limited vision or are sort of colorblind anyways. Just my two cents :)

Yes, I understand where you are coming from, but the humans (like me) really enjoy the colors!! lol
So you're saying that for the same price of carefresh colors, you can get a bigger bag of regualar carefresh bedding?
