I always Wanted To Start (or co own) a bird shop.

I would have a building with 5 or more rooms.

1 room for breeding birds.
1 room for the nursey *i will hand-rasie all babies*
1 room for a boarding room
1 room for all birds smaller then conures
1 room for all birds bigger then conures
1 room for stock (duh)
1 room maybe for like a R&R spot for employes.

Im goin to hand rasie all my birds from parkeets to macaws. Since im only a teen im going to for rite now learn all i can bout birds. I currently have an unrelated pair (or i think) of cockatiels. I'll probaly start in my house when im older.

It's great to see that you're already planning your future, but I will warn you on one or two things. First of all, renting/buying buildings is expensive...and the cost goes up with size and location. If having 5 rooms is really what you want, then go for it, but it will definitely take you awhile to build up enough money for it.

I'm also a teen (a junior in high school), and I think I may open a pet shop someday too. It really just depends on which profession I choose though (right now I am debating between becoming a vet, a lawyer, a journalist, or something to do with computers (like graphic design or programming)). In the event I choose to become a vet, I will try to work my way up to owning a petstore with a vet office attached, with boarding, and with dog daycare. But as I stated above, things like this are very costly, so who knows if it will work out. I guess we'll just have to wait and see ;) .
