So the hamster I adopted.. I've never seen her move unless i wake her up and show her I'm giving her fresh fruits/vegtables.
Always sleeping.
Is there anything I can do to give her motivation to live?

Combat is like this as well. After 5 years of neglect ... I don't blame him. I say ... let it out.
I have been talking to you a bit in another forum. Build like a little hamster enclosure and put stuff in there for the ham to play with.
Once you let it out, it'll get excited and want to explore. Also, get it a run-about ball if you don't have one already. This also gives them a chance to explore.
Being in the same old sucky cage all day stinks. Give her the chance to run around a little ... that should get her moving.
Combat is very lethargic until I let him run around the living room and he instantly comes to life!

How do I wake her up without her biting me?? Her bite force is about the same as my mice, but I bleed so much!
I have a ball made for a hamster, I shall try it now!

What I do for mine (who is completely unhandleable) is I put the ball against her door and let her climb in herself. Just jiggle the cage a little to wake her up and she should climb into the ball.

aww you're so right! I only had her in for about 3 minutes and she is eating apple bits, and sitting in the wheel cleaning herself.
