Momma is doing good and seems to be adjusting well to the single life. The eggs are getting a little bigger and if you look closely you can see they are transparent with something in them. Right now its just dark specks. Everyday I put in 1/10 mL of Iodine and yes, that is VERY hard to measure. I read the babies need a brackish environment so I put in a TBP of aquarium salt. So far the tank is doing fine without the cycle, I think the Cycle and the gravel from the other tank helped a lot. Just out of interest I read that you can take a jar of tank water and leave it in a window for 1-3 days to get food for the babies. I guess all sorts of things grow in there. Its kind of yuck but if it works then that will solve the food problem. Anyway, just wanted to let everyone know how it was going. I am really busy with a seven year old, two tanks and a rabbit!

Leaving a jar outside will grow insofurians (sp?), but what you really need to do is put some rabbit droppings or similar in there to encourage growth. Not my idea- something I read in a book. You can also use yeast, which might be a more practical option.
Baby brine shrimp are a good fry food. Crushed boiled egg yolk also works, but only use it in an emergency as it tends to pollute the water.

Do you have any idea how much yeast to put in a jar? I am afraid baby brine shrimp are a little hard to come by here.

I haven't got a clue how much to put in. You could try searching the web for it...
The only way to get baby brine shrimp is to buy the eggs. Most fish shops will sell them, but you never know.

It would make it easier to measure out 1/10 ml is if you went to your local vet and asked them if you could have a 1cc syringe. I had one to give my guinea pig the same amount and it worked great. They arent expensive and I dont know if you could buy one somewhere, but a vet would surely have one
